The saying that every good game eventually gets re-released finds yet another confirmation. It turns out that 2024 marked the 10th anniversary of the release of Patchwork. Naturally, the publishers seized the opportunity to release an anniversary edition of the game.

The game itself will remain unchanged, with no modifications to the rules. However, all the components will be updated, and the box will receive a new design. Additionally, the game will now include a solo play module right out of the box. The player markers on the score tracker will no longer be buttons but spools of thread, and the thimble token will be replaced with a sewing machine token.

The new design does not differ significantly from the original. It still features colorful fabric patches, though they are slightly brighter than before.

From the outside, the game will still look like a collection of colorful scraps. This is no surprise, as players are tasked with stitching together a quilt from multicolored fabric pieces represented by cardboard tiles of various shapes.

Each tile has certain attributes: a cost (in buttons) and the time required for sewing (depicted as hourglasses). Some tiles also feature blue buttons, which serve as the game’s currency. Choosing such tiles ensures a steady flow of resources for the player in future turns.
