BA: Chi-Ha Japanese Tank

The Type 97 Chi-Ha, a workhorse of the Japanese army, was the second most produced medium tank of World War II. It saw action in numerous conflicts, from the Second Sino-Japanese War to the Battles of Khalkhin Gol and throughout World War II.

While considered a standard medium tank by the Japanese, its lightweight design (only 15 tons) and thin armor (33mm turret, 26mm hull) would categorize it as a light tank in most other armies.

The Bolt Action plastic kit offers two options for the Type 97-Kia Shinhoto Chi-Ha, but many will likely choose the upgraded variant with the high-velocity 47mm anti-tank gun mounted in a larger turret, introduced in 1942.
