During the Napoleonic Wars, Spain's military might had significantly waned compared to its former glory. Despite many setbacks, there were notable victories by Spanish troops in battles such as Bailen, Tamames, Alcaniz, and San Marcial. These victories were significant because, despite often being overshadowed by the more renowned Anglo-Portuguese forces led by Wellington, the Spanish armies and their guerrilla warfare strategies posed a considerable threat to the French. The Spanish forces effectively tied down multiple French armies, allowing Wellington’s forces to concentrate on defeating them one by one.

This expansion includes 18 historical scenarios focusing on the Peninsular battles fought by the Spanish army from 1808 to 1813. It also provides new units needed for these engagements, offering a detailed exploration of Spain's crucial role in the conflict.
