The subsonic jet aircraft Hawker Hunter made its debut in 1954. The Mk.6 interceptor version of the Hunter is considered the definitive version of the aircraft, and the RAF equipped their squadrons in Germany as well as Britain with the Mk.6. The FGA.9 was developed from the F.6 airframe by strengthening the wings and adapting the aircraft for the ground support role. It was one of the RAF's best close support aircraft ever. This kit includes over 150 optional parts to build the F6 or FGA.9 version of the British Hawker Hunter in 1/48 scale.
