18 Holes: Course Architect is a roll-and-write game where players compete to design the ultimate golf course under the capricious demands of the Course Planning Committee. As the adage goes, "the million-dollar deal is done on the golf course," but here, the deals start even before the course is fully designed! Each week, the planning committee arrives with new deals made over the weekend, forcing you to adjust your plans accordingly.
In each round of the game, the committee dice are rolled, determining the greens, fairways, and hazards that must be incorporated into your course. Players then use these elements, as dictated by the dice, to construct their course. You earn points by designing holes of the correct length, strategically placing hazards, creating chains of holes, and unlocking secret bonuses. The player who amasses the most points not only wins but is also celebrated as the greatest course architect! This game challenges your strategic planning and adaptability, offering a dynamic and engaging experience for everyone involved.
