Æterna, a game by Martin Wallace and Ergo Ludo, players take on the role of a Roman Gens, striving for prestige through three Eras: The Roman Kingdom, the Roman Republic, and the Roman Empire. Expand your influence over the city by controlling the 7 Hills, building monuments, and aiding in province conquests. Keep the citizens content, as unrest could harm your reputation. Utilize strategic tactics and decision-making skills as you compete with opponents for dominance in each Era. Increase the power and status of your Gens to climb the social hierarchy of Ancient Rome and claim ultimate power. 2-4 players, ages 14+, with a 60+ minute playtime.
