The land of ArcWorlde has been inhabited for thousands of years, with the cultures and languages of the ancient people now forgotten. However, their presence can still be seen through the numerous stone circles, tombs, and burial mounds scattered throughout the landscape. These olden sites, once looted for their riches, may still hold unexpected surprises as the spirits of the Ancient Dead may occasionally awaken. Rising from their eternal slumber, they find that the afterlife is not quite what they were promised. Despite the passing of their world, the Ancient Dead continue to guard their sacred grounds and enjoy an existence free from the mundane concerns of the living.
