The new plastic kit for British and Canadian forces is incredibly detailed, offering a wide range of customization options. Our customer service experts have calculated that there are up to 396 possible variations, not including optional heads and additional accessories like maps, waving arms, and binoculars.
This kit comes with numerous optional extras, including headgear choices such as steel helmets, assault helmets, and Tam o’ Shanter caps (for Scottish or Canadian troops). It also features a variety of weapons, including the Lee Enfield No. 4 rifle, Bren light machine gun, Sten sub-machine gun, 2-inch light mortar, PIAT anti-tank projector, Webley service revolver, Mills bombs, plus additional accessories and command options.
A British infantry squad, known as a section, typically consisted of ten men, divided into separate rifle and Bren groups. The section was led by a corporal armed with a rifle or pistol, with a lance corporal in charge of the Bren group. All members, except for the corporal, carried ammunition for the Bren gun, totalling 700 rounds in 25 magazines. Additionally, all men were equipped with grenades.
