Bolt Action: British & Inter-Allied Commandos
The Commandos were a legendary force during World War II, renowned for their daring and bravery. Created by Winston Churchill in 1940, they were an all-volunteer unit formed to counter the German forces that had seemingly effortlessly pushed the British Expeditionary Force out of France. Drawing recruits from all branches of the military, they included Army commandos, Naval commandos, and the Inter-Allied Commando regiment, which comprised soldiers from Belgium, Poland, Holland, and other countries.
Commandos fought in campaigns across Europe, Burma, and Africa, earning battle honors for many famous actions, including the arguably greatest raid of all – St. Nazaire. They were deployed in various configurations, from small units to full assault divisions, depending on the mission. Their superb training, aggressive tactics, excellent equipment, and lethal hand-to-hand combat skills instilled fear in their German, Italian, and Japanese enemies.
