Infantry weapons teams are essential for any Bolt Action army, offering a variety of tactical options. Sniper teams, flamethrower teams, and anti-tank teams are particularly valuable, giving your opponent a range of challenges to overcome.

The Panzerschreck, a German adaptation of the American bazooka, first appeared in North Africa. It fired a large-caliber shaped-charge rocket projectile. The weapon’s back-blast was so intense that early teams wore protective capes and masks. Later, a blast shield was added, giving it a distinctive appearance. By 1944, the Panzerschreck and the disposable Panzerfaust had replaced the Panzerbüchse 39 anti-tank rifle.

During the Battle of Stalingrad, Russian snipers inflicted heavy casualties on the beleaguered Wehrmacht, forcing the Germans to train and equip their own marksmen as specialists. A variety of rifles were used for sniping, including the standard KAR-98K and the semi-automatic Gewehr 43, all equipped with the high-quality ZF39 telescopic sight and precision-manufactured ammunition.

Flamethrowers (Flammenwerfer) were used throughout the war, often against buildings or fortifications. In the later stages of the war, the Germans developed a lighter, smaller design, the Eintossflammenwerfe, which carried enough fuel for a single burst. Effectively a one-shot flamethrower, it is uncertain whether this weapon was actually deployed.
