In June 1940, the American Army called for a lightweight utility vehicle that could go anywhere and everywhere. The answer was the four-wheel-drive Willys MB and Ford GPW—both commonly known as “jeeps.” Over half a million were produced, seeing service all over the world. In many cases, they were armed with either a .30 cal or .50 cal machine gun, allowing them to provide mobile fire support for U.S. troops.
This set gives you a trio of armed jeeps for your U.S. forces—two with .30 cal Medium Machine Guns and one with a .50 cal Heavy Machine Gun—allowing you to form an Armored Platoon of these lightweight fighting vehicles.
