The Hungarian Gendarmerie, or Csend?rség, was a paramilitary unit tasked with maintaining law and order, especially in rural areas. As Hungary entered World War II, the Gendarmerie was increasingly called upon to assist the regular army, fighting under their motto "Híven, Becsülettel, Vitézül" (faithfully, honorably, valiantly). They were equipped similarly to regular soldiers, except for their distinctive feather-trimmed bowler hats. These units are a great choice for Hungarian players looking to add variety to their Rifle Platoons!
