Infantry weapons teams are a crucial part of any Bolt Action army, giving your force greater tactical flexibility. Light mortars, flamethrowers, and anti-tank teams are popular choices, offering a range of challenges for your opponent.

The Chinese military used flamethrowers extensively during the early stages of the Second Sino-Japanese War. Their effectiveness in dislodging defenders from fortified positions was clear, leading to their adoption from various sources, including Germany, the Western Allies, the Soviet Union, and even captured Japanese weapons. In Bolt Action, flamethrower teams can be used as attachments for both infantry and engineer squads.

The American Bazooka, a 2.36” anti-tank rocket launcher, was widely copied and used in the post-World War II era. While less effective against heavier American tanks, it remained a threat to lighter vehicles like the M24 Chaffee and various M4 Shermans.

The People’s Volunteer Army (PVA) had a diverse array of light mortars, including Soviet 50mm mortars and captured Japanese Type 10 and Type 89 mortars. Later, they developed a highly effective copy of the American 60mm mortar. Each PVA Rifle Company had three 60mm mortars, forming a single platoon battery.
