One of the most feared tanks of World War II, the mere mention of the name "Tiger" was enough to instill fear in Allied armored formations. The Tiger was quickly deployed on the Eastern Front in response to the heavier Soviet tanks that had caught the Wehrmacht off guard. Its massive, square body and rounded turret were an intimidating sight for enemy tank crews. With incredibly thick armor made of high-quality steel, it was nearly impervious to anti-tank fire from the front.

Equipped with a powerful 88mm gun, the Tiger was capable of taking out enemy tanks at ranges of up to three kilometers, and could also fire a devastating high-explosive shell. Weighing 52 tons, it was slow-moving, but its broad tracks gave it reasonable cross-country capability. Due to its high cost to build and maintain, Tiger crews underwent specialized training. A skilled veteran crew of five men could take on multiple enemy tanks with a strong chance of defeating them, all while keeping the tank and crew safe.

Tigers were typically organized into separate heavy tank battalions and deployed by high command to wherever they were most needed. Their mere presence on the battlefield often proved decisive. The model includes a detailed German tank commander.
