Burma
Burma, 1942-45 is a modern interpretation of the original design by Game Designers Workshop in 1976. This operational-scale game utilizes brigades and battalions, with play progressing in a stop-and-go fashion due to supply and the monsoon season. The challenging terrain and fragile supply lines create a gameplay experience focused on maneuvering and logistics, requiring strategic management for victory. The Japanese can infiltrate the Allied lines, while the Allies can disrupt the Japanese rear with long-range patrols. Both sides must engage in combat to make progress, and the Allied player must also construct the Burma Road to reach China. 2-6 players can enjoy this game for up to 2 hours, and the contents include a mounted game map, 280 counters, player aid cards, order of battle and appearance cards, a rules booklet, a six-sided die, and a box and lid set.
