Dutch Blitz

Dutch Blitz is a fast-paced card game where players race to get rid of their cards.

Each player starts with a deck of 40 cards, numbered 1-10 in four colors. Red and blue cards feature Pennsylvania Dutch boys, while yellow and green show Pennsylvania Dutch girls.

The goal is to empty your “blitz pile” of ten face-up cards, while simultaneously building “Dutch piles” in the center by playing cards in ascending order of the same color. You can also play cards in descending order between your “post piles” (three face-up cards), alternating between boys and girls.

If you can’t play a card, you can reveal cards from your hand in groups of three, hoping to play the top card. The first player to empty their blitz pile wins the round. Points are scored for cards in Dutch piles and lost for remaining cards. The game ends when someone reaches 75 points.

While the Expansion Pack lets up to eight players play, it’s also a separate game with its own unique set of rules.
