Feasting on the castle’s endless supply of tortured souls, the Undead Queen commands the corpses, skeletons, and spirits of the depths to do her bidding. Should a prisoner fall to her inexhaustible armies, an eternity of agonizing undeath awaits.
This expansion for Escape the Dark Castle introduces the formidable Undead Queen as a new boss, along with fifteen new castle locations. It also brings an entirely new mechanic to the game—Companions! These companions, introduced through event cards, temporarily join the prisoners on their quest, offering powerful assistance in their escape attempts. However, their presence is often fleeting, so players must carefully decide how and when to utilize their newfound allies.
The Undead Queen expansion adds new layers of strategy and tension, as players balance the need for immediate help against the uncertainty of when the companions might depart, all while navigating the dark and dangerous castle.
