In The Game of Life: Super Mario Edition, players can choose to be Mario, Luigi, Peach, or Yoshi as they embark on a journey through the Mushroom Kingdom, culminating in a final showdown against Bowser. Players move along the looping paths of the game board, collecting coins, powering up with items and Companions, and engaging in fun minigames like Rock Paper Scissors, Thumb Wars, and Spin-Offs.

As they near Bowser's Castle, players can purchase stars to enhance their battle-spin; each star adds 1 point to their spin total. To defeat Bowser and win the game, players must spin a total higher than 12.
