In this game, you’ll compete to win the favor of the crowd by collecting gladiators with positive ratings while avoiding those with negative ones.
Each round, players contribute gladiators to bouts, trying to outmaneuver their opponents using strategic plays. You’ll need to pay attention to the “Preferred School” (trump suit) and the “Initiating School” (suit led) to determine the winning gladiator.
The exciting “Challenge” mechanic allows you to change the Preferred School mid-bout by matching the rank of the last gladiator played. And at the end of each round, the 0 of trump earns you a whopping 5 bonus Crowd Favor, so be sure to manipulate the trump suit to your advantage!
The player who earns the most Crowd Favor at the end of the round wins 1 Crowd Support. The first player to gain 3 Crowd Support becomes the Champion of Gorus Maximus, earning the adoration of the masses.
