History of the World

The History of the World provides a comprehensive retelling of human history, spanning from ancient Sumeria to modern day USA. The map highlights regions where civilizations thrived, while over sixty different peoples are represented on Empire and Event cards. As players compete, they must strategically control capitals, cities, monuments, and forts to gain gold and ultimately be declared the winner. This latest edition features new rules for using dice, revised distribution of Empire and Event cards, and additional strategy elements such as "Area tokens" and "Honor tokens" which provide unique benefits. Despite these updates, the game's essence remains true to its earliest version, with some desirable improvements incorporated along the way. However, one aspect that has been removed is the overly powerful "Weaponry" card. Suitable for 2-6 players with a playtime of 120+ minutes.
