Hive Mosquito

The Mosquito pieces can be added to a standard Hive set before the game begins, providing each player with 12 pieces to play with. These pieces are introduced into the game just like any other piece. Once in play, the Mosquito adopts the movement abilities of any creature it is touching at that moment, allowing it to change its characteristics throughout the game.

However, there is one important exception: If the Mosquito adopts the movement of a Beetle and climbs on top of the Hive, it continues to move like a Beetle until it climbs down. This versatility makes the Mosquito a dynamic and strategic addition to Hive, offering players new opportunities and challenges as they navigate the ever-changing board.
