Imperial Settlers is a card game where players control one of four factions—Romans, Barbarians, Egyptians, or Japanese—to expand their empires in newly discovered lands. As players build new structures, establish mines and fields, and set up barracks, they gather resources and enhance their economies. Conflict arises as the land proves too small for everyone, leading to battles for dominance.

The game unfolds over five rounds, during which players explore, build, trade, and conquer to earn victory points. The core mechanics of Imperial Settlers are based on the basic concept of 51st State.
