Lynx
From the 1600s to the 1870s, the fur trade was a critical factor in the European exploration and colonization of Canada, ultimately leading to its nationhood. Trade companies heavily relied on Indigenous trappers, who supplied various furs such as beaver, lynx, and mink. This trade had major economic and cultural impacts on the relationship between Europeans and Indigenous peoples, leaving lasting effects. In Lynx, players assume the role of a fur trapper in the late 18th century, competing in the Hudson's Bay region of northern Ontario by strategically trapping lynx during their peak and selling pelts for high profits. With traps provided exclusively by the Hudson's Bay Company, the player with the most earnings will pay off their debt and become a free trapper.
