Before the Dead God, what came before is unknown. One thing is certain: we were born on a sacred carcass floating in the interstellar void and slowly decaying. Everything that existed before this great deity has been forgotten with its passing. From the decaying remains of this immense being emerged life; its blood became the seas that surround the continents, its flesh formed the land, deserts, and mountains. And from its tears, rivers and lakes were born. The insects were the first inhabitants to tread this rotting earth, and through the immense power that emanated from within, they evolved into insectoids; new creatures with abilities far surpassing those of their ancestors. These different species of insectoids formed tribes, cities, and kingdoms during an era of peace, leading to a period of exploration and discovery.
