Open Season Board Game Overview
In Open Season, you assume the role of a monster with a taste for vengeance, seeking to punish the adventurers who disrupt your peaceful domain. After dealing with these intruders, your task is to enhance your lair by showcasing a collection of trophy heads on the wall. The game unfolds over nine rounds, culminating in a final scoring phase.
Gameplay Mechanics
Players take turns in a clockwise direction, performing the following actions on each turn:
- Market Setup: Refresh the market by drawing five new face-up cards.
- Card Placement: Select a card from the market and place it on an available spot on your personal board.
- Bonus Actions: Activate bonus actions based on the top three slots of your player board. Bonus actions are triggered when placing a card in your reserve that corresponds with a specific person. Placing a new card in your reserve can also activate additional bonus actions.
After the nine rounds are complete, the game ends, and players tally their points to determine the winner.
