The Dominion begins its expansion into the neighboring nation of Allano. One spring morning, father Sago and his family journeys to the city of Bluefield and are helplessly caught in the midst of this clash of powers. An old grizzled friend may be their only hope for escape.

People of the Wind is the first chapter in the Song of the Motherland anthology. The unstoppable Rene dominion's invasion of the Arkan tribes has thrown the gulf into turmoil. But the machinations of the high and mighty seem far away to the brother just trying to put bread on the table or the grandmother trying to comfort her grieving child.
