In Plantagenet—the newest volume in Volko Ruhnke's Levy & Campaign Series—players take on the roles of leaders in one of two factions, navigating the tumultuous Wars of the Roses. You’ll battle across three main periods of war, either in individual scenarios or the entire conflict, striving to see your rose—whether White or Red, York or Lancaster—sit upon the throne.

Designer Francisco Gradaille introduces elements of overall and local political influence to Volko’s established medieval operation system, capturing the shifting loyalties and intrigue of the time while remaining accessible to fans of the series. Players must skillfully create and maintain a network of allied lords and nobles to secure the necessary provender and coin for their armies. However, be cautious—ravaging and looting can tarnish your faction's reputation, making it crucial to sway cities to your side.

Engage in grand battles to capture or kill enemy lords—perhaps even a king—and use a mix of military and political moves to outmaneuver your opponents. When the dust settles and all arrows have flown, only one faction’s rose will claim the throne. Gather your troops, raise your banners, and prepare to join the fight for the crown!
