Chicago in the mid-1800’s—a city-wide drainage crisis caused by its low elevation to nearby Lake Michigan has caused significant problems. The city council’s answer? Raise the buildings to make way for a new sewer system beneath the elevated streets.In Raising Chicago, you’ll compete with other businesses to secure contracts for raising the city’s buildings. But be warned: don’t overextend yourself! You must complete each building project every turn. Running out of resources will severely damage your reputation and standing with the city.
