Resafa
Set in the 3rd century AD in the region of today's Middle East, Resafa transports players to a bustling desert outpost that once thrived along vital caravan trade routes. Now a ruin in modern-day Syria, Resafa relied on large cisterns to collect seasonal rainwater, making life in this arid region possible.
In the game, players take on the role of merchants traveling between cities to trade goods. They build water tanks and canals to distribute precious water to sustain the area. In the cities, players establish workshops to expand their businesses, collect resources and camels, and construct gardens that not only generate resources but also earn valuable victory points.
The game unfolds over six rounds, with each player taking only three actions per round using action cards. This creates a challenging and strategic experience that demands careful planning and execution.
