In Rivals for Catan, you lead one of two factions working to develop the newly-settled Catan. Use your cards to establish your principality, explore and settle new lands, and gather resources through card play and dice rolls. Develop your domain with gold, resource combinations, and trade, expanding settlements and cities, recruiting heroes, and defending your lands with politics, invention, and intrigue. Your strategic prowess and a bit of luck will determine who rules Catan.

Rivals for Catan Deluxe enhances the experience with four card-holder trays, newly designed special victory point tokens, and 9 promotional cards not available in the basic game.

The game includes three challenging “Theme Games” to explore: The Age of Gold, The Age of Turmoil, and The Era of Progress.
