Seas of Thunder allows players to recreate both the Atlantic and Pacific theaters of the war, providing insight into the strategic challenges faced by leaders of the time. Players will grapple with questions such as: How do you defend the globe from German raiders? What were the challenges for Britain after France fell, leaving them to face Germany and Italy alone at sea? How should the Soviet fleet be allocated across the Baltic, Black Sea, Arctic, and Pacific fronts? If the Mediterranean forces weaken for the Allies, where can they reinforce? Should Japan focus on quick strikes or attrition? How will America manage engagements on multiple fronts?

In Seas of Thunder, players experience the tension of covering vast areas of ocean with limited ships, the frustration of being caught off guard, and the intensity of defending crucial sea areas. Victory is hard-earned and never guaranteed; a single flight of Catalinas, a lack of anti-submarine warfare, an imbalance in air power, or a missing minesweeper could determine success or failure.

This game offers a comprehensive strategic representation of World War II naval warfare. Players must manage their global fleets, balancing the demands of covering an expansive ocean with a finite number of ships. Each nation’s historical ships come with unique advantages and disadvantages, adding depth and realism to the strategic experience.
