The Battle of Sekigahara, fought in 1600 at a crucial crossroads in Japan, led to over 250 years of Tokugawa rule. In Sekigahara, you can relive this historic conflict as either Ishida Mitsunari, who defended a child heir, or Tokugawa Ieyasu, Japan's most powerful daimyo (feudal lord).
The campaign spanned just 7 weeks, during which both sides had to quickly assemble armies and devise strategies with the support of their allies. Trust was a major issue, as many daimyo were untrustworthy, with some even switching allegiances during the battle.
To achieve victory in Sekigahara, you need more than just a strong army—you must ensure your forces are loyal and ready for combat. Build and maintain the trust of your allies and use them wisely, aiming to induce defections from your opponent’s ranks to secure a win.
