In a few remote corners of the world, the memory of magic endures, despite its once-pervasive healing power having faded over centuries. Witches, the last practitioners of this ancient magic, have always been outcasts, helping humanity only in secrecy. As the current leader, the Septima, nears the end of her time, witches from around the globe convene at Noctenburg to prove themselves as worthy successors.
Septima is a competitive and highly interactive strategy game centered on witchcraft. As the leader of your coven, you must demonstrate your worth in the town of Noctenburg to become the next High Witch. Practice your craft by collecting herbs, brewing potions, healing townsfolk, mastering charms, and rescuing fellow witches. However, using magic—even for good—draws suspicion from the townsfolk.
Key Mechanics:
- Simultaneous Action Selection: Each turn, players secretly choose one of nine Action cards—Move, Collect, Brew, Heal, Recruit, Plea, Chant, Rite, or Remember. Actions chosen by multiple players gain powerful bonuses but also increase suspicion and attract Witch Hunters.
- Rescue and Build Your Coven: Heal or persuade the townsfolk to gain support and influence the Witch Trials. Successfully rescuing witches from trials allows you to grow your coven to up to four members, each with unique abilities.
- Interactive and Strategic: The game combines competitive elements with a semi-cooperative touch, as timing shared actions and managing suspicion adds depth and player interaction.
Accessibility and Design: Septima is designed to be Mindclash Games' most accessible title, featuring beautiful hand-drawn art by Vill?
