Overview
Void Zombies result from the reproductive process of akatas, which implant parasitic larval offspring into humanoid hosts. The microscopic larvae cause Void Death, a deadly infection. Those who succumb transform into rotting corpses, often displaying a bloated blue-gray "tongue," which is actually the fanged tail of the parasitic larva within. The larvae undergo a second gestation before becoming adult akatas, completing the cycle by emerging from the host to continue reproduction.
