Switchbacks

Embark on an incredible mountain adventure, forging a trail through uncharted terrain. Your objective is to blaze the most paths and mark them along the way. Each turn, place one of your three tiles on the map and either 1) position a hiker on that tile or 2) pair up two of your hikers for a potential double move in the future. The rules may be simple, but the choices are challenging. Hikers only score if they are on a path of four consecutive numbers. Will you join forces with an opponent or block their route with your own? Will you sacrifice a guaranteed placement for the opportunity to team up your hikers for a perfect spot in the next turn? And will that spot still be open when you need it? We have become enamored with these sophisticated dilemmas, and we know you will too. The streamlined rules make for a quick setup and easy entry.
