Symphony No. 9
In Symphony No. 9, players take on the roles of wealthy 18th-century nobles acting as patrons to renowned musicians. By supporting these artists, players gain ownership of their compositions while managing the delicate balance of reputation and resources.
Players take turns collecting donation cubes from six musicians' career tracks. Each cube removed affects the musician’s reputation and represents a step closer to the end of their career, with their life ending once all cubes are taken. As the primary patron of a musician, players can trade donation cubes for valuable Composition tiles, which score differently depending on the artist. Throughout the game, musicians’ Popularity Rankings are adjusted based on their reputation.
Will you become the wealthiest and most influential patron of the age, perhaps working the musicians to their final masterpiece? Or will you sell off your possessions to sustain their creative genius? Test your strategy and wealth management in this semi-historical game of prestige and music.
