In Time of Empires, you take command of a civilization and guide it through various historical epochs, from antiquity to the modern era. Each epoch consists of three phases: preparation, action, and scoring.

During the action phase, you'll compete in real-time with other players, using two 30-second sand timers to manage your expansion, build wonders, and advance technologies. A soundtrack helps maintain the historical tempo as you strive to balance your focus across different tasks. With multiple players engaging simultaneously, you’ll need to stay vigilant to avoid missing potential attacks or neglecting important projects, such as completing a wonder.

Your goal is to navigate the challenges of each era and lead your civilization to prosperity while adapting to the fast-paced, concurrent actions of your opponents.
